Ken Waddell Returns to His Roots

Ken Waddell Visits Waddell Appliances

Ken Waddell returned to his roots last Saturday when he paid a visit to Waddell appliance at 700 Ellice Avenue in Winnipeg. The landmark appliance store was started in the 1950s by Ken’s Uncle Jim Waddell and still carries on business today under the Waddell name. It was at this shop, and from Uncle Jim Waddell, that Ken learned some of his business skills.

Also on Saturday, Ken attended the PC Manitoba nomination for Gus Nelson (Wolsely) and Kenny Daodu (Minto). That Minto/Wolsely nomination meeting was a huge celebration of African culture accompanied with dancing, singing and passionate speeches by both candidates and supporters.
